15+ Free Halloween Wallpapers for iPhone: Cute, Vintage & Aesthetic Backgrounds

Looking for a cute Halloween wallpaper for your phone? I made a collection of free Halloween iPhone wallpapers with everything from friendly ghosts and glowing pumpkin patches to vintage black cats, cozy fall scenes and a few familiar trucks from The Trucks That Saved Halloween.

There’s a mix of styles here, so whether you love a dreamy Halloween aesthetic, vintage Halloween wallpaper or something sweet and not-so-spooky, you can find a background for October.

All of these wallpapers are designed vertically for a phone Lock Screen, with extra space toward the top so your clock, date and widgets don’t cover the main artwork.

You can save any of the wallpapers below for free.

How to Save a Halloween Wallpaper on iPhone

Tap the wallpaper you want to use, save the full-size image to your Photos, then open it from your iPhone wallpaper settings and adjust the crop if needed.

I designed these with the main artwork lower on the screen so there’s room for the date, clock and widgets at the top.

Tip: Some wallpapers look especially pretty with a simple clock and no additional widgets.

Cute Halloween Wallpapers

If your Halloween style is more cute than creepy, start here. These are full of smiling ghosts, pumpkins, soft skies and cozy October colors.

1. Cute Ghost Pumpkin Patch

Cute Ghost Pumpkin Patch — A sweet Halloween wallpaper with friendly ghosts, glowing pumpkins and a dreamy autumn sky.

This one feels like Halloween without being spooky at all. I especially love it for younger kids or anyone who wants something cheerful for October.

If your kids like this kind of not-so-scary Halloween fun, I have a whole collection of easy Halloween activities for toddlers and preschoolers, including pumpkin games, building activities and simple ideas we actually do at home.

2. Black Cat on a Pumpkin Fence

Black Cat on a Pumpkin Fence — A cozy black cat, glowing lanterns and pumpkins under a warm Halloween moon.

This one falls somewhere between Halloween and classic fall. The lanterns and sunset make it especially pretty as a Lock Screen.

3. Candy Corn Sky

Candy Corn Sky — Friendly ghosts float through an orange, cream and purple Halloween sky with stars, moons and tiny bats.

The orange-to-purple sky reminded me of candy corn colors without actually covering the wallpaper in candy corn.

4. Not-Scary Haunted House

Not-Scary Haunted House — A magical little haunted house with happy ghosts, glowing pumpkins and a moonlit path.

This might be my favorite if you want a traditional Halloween scene that still feels warm and family-friendly.

And if you’re planning a Halloween trip to Disneyland, you may also like my guide to Halloween Time at Disneyland, including Cars Land’s Haul-O-Ween decorations and seasonal attractions.

Vintage Halloween Wallpapers

Vintage Halloween is having such a moment, and I completely understand why. Black cats, old-fashioned moons, faded orange pumpkins and antique postcard textures somehow make Halloween feel even cozier.

5. Vintage Black Cat Halloween

Vintage Black Cat Halloween — An old-fashioned Halloween-inspired black cat and pumpkin scene beneath a glowing full moon.

6. Vintage Jack-o’-Lantern Pattern

Vintage Jack-o’-Lantern Pattern — A repeating antique-inspired Halloween print with pumpkins, crescent moons, stars and fall leaves.

This one also works nicely as a Home Screen because there isn’t one central subject that gets hidden behind app icons.

7. Retro Halloween Party

Retro Halloween Party — Party-hat-wearing black cats, candy and smiling pumpkins give this wallpaper a playful vintage Halloween look.

8. Vintage Moon and Pumpkins

Vintage Moon and Pumpkins — A black cat watches the moon from a pumpkin patch in this softly spooky vintage Halloween scene.

Halloween Aesthetic Wallpapers

These are a little moodier and more atmospheric, with glowing moons, purple skies and lots of room for your Lock Screen clock.

9. Purple Halloween Night

Purple Halloween Night — A glowing moon, purple clouds and an autumn pumpkin path create a dreamy Halloween night scene.

10. Crescent Moon and Floating Ghosts

Crescent Moon and Floating Ghosts — Tiny friendly ghosts drift through a starry sky around a glowing crescent moon.

I love how simple this one feels once it’s actually on the phone. There’s plenty of dark sky for the Lock Screen information while the ghosts and moon sit lower on the screen. It looks like it actually glows!

Cozy Fall Wallpapers

Not everything has to scream Halloween. These next two work through October and well into November (and for pumpkin spice lovers).

11. Cozy Fall Pumpkins

Cozy Fall Pumpkins — Pumpkins, plaid, candlelight and warm autumn colors make this an October-cozy Lock Screen.

12. Autumn Window Scene

Autumn Window Scene — A cozy fall window, pumpkins, candlelight and a warm drink overlooking colorful autumn leaves.

Love fall treats too?

One of my favorite parts of fall is all the seasonal food that starts showing up everywhere — especially ice cream.

I rounded up some of the best fall ice cream flavors and seasonal treats if you want a little more autumn inspiration after changing your wallpaper.

The Trucks That Saved Halloween Wallpapers

And of course I had to make a few wallpapers inspired by The Trucks That Saved Halloween.

If you have a little one who loves trucks, these are probably the ones they’ll choose first.

13. Witch Ice Cream Truck

Witch Ice Cream Truck — The Witch Ice Cream Truck flies into a magical Halloween evening filled with pumpkins, candy and stars.

Meet the trucks behind the wallpaper

The Witch Ice Cream Truck is one of the characters in my children’s book The Trucks That Saved Halloween, a sweet Halloween story for little truck fans.

The trucks build a Halloween carnival complete with pumpkins, costumes, games and plenty of truck-or-treat fun.

Free Cute Christmas Wallpapers for iPhone + A Festive Kids’ Book You’ll Love

If your kids are anything like mine, there are two things that absolutely light them up during the holiday season:

1. Anything involving Christmas

So naturally… I combined the two.

Yes — I wrote and self-published a truck-themed Christmas children’s book, and honestly? It’s been one of the most joyful, chaotic, candy-cane-fueled creative projects of my life.

And to celebrate, I’m giving away FREE Christmas iPhone wallpapers based on the adorable truck characters from the book!

(You’re welcome. Your lock screen is about to get 10x more festive.)

🚒 Meet the Trucks That Saved Christmas

My book The Trucks That Saved Christmas is a bright, silly, heartwarming story about a group of hardworking trucks who step up to save Christmas when things go hilariously sideways.

We’ve got:

• A dump truck who is 90% enthusiasm and 10% “Uh oh, what did I just knock over?”

• A firetruck who tries very hard to be the sensible one

• A crane truck who always believes he can lift “just one more thing!”

• A snow plow who takes his job very seriously

• And a few more cheerful vehicles who refuse to let holiday chaos win

It’s perfect for little truck lovers, Christmas fans, and kids who giggle at puns (which… is all of them).
